Dr. Samantha Reynolds is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist providing comprehensive medical and primary eye care at Azure Eye Center.
Born and raised in Dallas and trained at the University of Houston College of Optometry, she is passionate about personalized, compassionate care — and stays active in organized optometry to keep her patients at the forefront of advances in eye care.
Personalized, Compassionate Eye Care
Dr. Samantha Reynolds was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas in 2014 before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2019, where she graduated with honors.
As a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Reynolds is passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care to every patient she sees. She is actively involved in both the Texas Optometric Association (TOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA), and previously served as President of the Tarrant County Optometric Society.
In recognition of her dedication to patient care, leadership, and service to the profession, she was honored as the 2025 Texas Young Optometrist of the Year. Through her continued involvement in organized optometry, she stays at the forefront of advancements in eye care while advocating for the profession and the patients she serves.

Outside the office, Dr. Reynolds enjoys traveling and attending concerts and live music events — and spending time with her two corgis, Crimson and Eevee.

Dr. Reynolds practices alongside Dr. David T. Truong, M.D., founder of Azure Eye Center and a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery. Together, optometry and surgical ophthalmology under one roof mean patients move from exam to treatment plan to procedure — and back to follow-up care — without leaving the practice that knows them.
